Prepare and administer medication as ordered by physician: oral and topical medications nasal drops and sprays ointments to eyes, ears or nose inhalants delivered by inhalers, nebulizers or aerosols that allow for a single dose of a fixed, premeasured amount of mediation;
Document in a residents clinical record:
All medications that the Certified Medication Aide personally administered;
Observations including what the Certified Medication Aide sees, hears or smells;
Report to the licensed nurse:
Any abnormalities that would prohibit medication administration;
Any reactions and side effects to medications exhibited by a resident.
