This position is responsible for daily servicing of all METRO vehicles and equipment. Duties include checking, topping, recording all fluids, cleaning, and maintaining a clean and safe work area. Responsibilities also encompass driving and parking vehicles, cleaning individual parts and sub-assemblies with chemicals, operating METRO vehicles in compliance with MTRO policies and all Federal and Arkansas traffic laws, relocating vehicles, directing traffic, and installing or removing interior METRO-approved signs as directed.

• Hear directions, distinguish vehicular trouble shooting issues, and perform essential functions satisfactorily.

Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be to meet the following:

• Graduation from high school or equivalent.

• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Overall knowledge of automobiles and experience in the use of tools to perform related work.

• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have the ability to obtain and maintain a valid Class B CDL with Passenger endorsement issued by the Arkansas Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Must have a good driving record as defined by METRO.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check, a DOT medical examination, and a drug screen.
