What to ExpectAs an Industrial Maintenance Electrician you will bring your expert knowledge to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and electronic equipment while applying strong knowledge of electrical safety for higher‑voltage systems. The position works with advanced manufacturing electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, performing accurate troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, coordinating essential safety procedures, and supporting the installation of new manufacturing equipment across the facility.

Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 3 p.m. Overtime opportunities may be available on a voluntary basis based on business needs and with leader prior authorization.
As an Industrial Maintenance Electrician, you will maintain and repair facility and production equipment that supports Caterpillar manufacturing, using a current Journeyman or Master Electrician license to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues up to 480v. Day‑to‑day work includes performing preventive and corrective maintenance, responding to service requests with minimal supervision, and diagnosing problems on electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automated systems while interpreting complex schematics.
The Journeyman also installs new manufacturing equipment, coordinates and enforces safety procedures such as lockout/tagout and proper lift operation, and maintains accurate CMMS documentation. Additional responsibilities include mentoring Level I personnel, assigning tasks when appropriate, collaborating with the maintenance team to maximize equipment uptime, operating and repairing material‑handling and assembly equipment, identifying and correcting safety hazards, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
you will have (Basic Requirements)
- Arkansas Journeyman License (or Reciprocal State: OR, UT, MN, NM, CO & AK)
- 4 years of minimum cumulative experience performing industrial work within manufacturing and/or like industrial facilities
- Must be able to read PLC ladder logic
- Must be able to lift up to 35lbs minimum
- Prior experience within a Caterpillar facility
- Bring knowledge of electronics such as photo sensors, PLCs, remote I/Os, servo drives, and variable frequency drives
- Bring mastery of all production facilities systems, including conveyors, robotic equipment, and industrial trucks
- Ability to utilize all internal technical platforms for documentation, record keeping, and other
Job Duties
You will bring at least four years of experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial electrical, electronic, and material‑handling equipment, with strong cross‑training across all production facility systems. The position requires mastery of lockout/tagout procedures, OSHA compliance, and preventive maintenance practices, along with the ability to diagnose issues involving mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems—including PLCs, system control software, sensors, and drives.
