Sales Leader – Kirkland's Home – Part Time
Overview
The Sales Leader is customer‑obsessed with strong product knowledge and visual presentation skills, implementing and following the store business plan. They ensure operational processes are executed through collaboration with the Store Manager and team, serve as a role model, and guide the team in presenting excellent customer behaviors to maximize sales.
Responsibilities- Lead and support customer selling in both in‑store and online (ship to store) shopping experiences.
- Promote a customer‑obsessed culture that prioritizes greeting, re‑engaging, educating, adding on, and thanking each customer.
- Understand your role in sales growth and how you impact store profitability.
- Use interpersonal savvy to read cues and respond appropriately to create an exceptional in‑store experience.
- Educate customers on loyalty programs, current promotions, and merchandise assortment to build the basket.
- Act as a brand ambassador, treating customers and co‑workers respectfully and professionally while supporting shared goals.
- Lead by example, support, and hold the team accountable to all company policies and procedures.
- Execute Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities: opening/closing procedures, team supervision, figure‑eight checks, etc.
- Assist in freight processing, maintain an organized stockroom, and execute merchandising, pricing, and inventory accuracy directives.

- High School Diploma or GED; college preferred.
- Minimum 1 year management experience in retail or service industry preferred.
- Strong communication and customer selling experience required.
- Energetic, people‑oriented, results‑driven, and competitive with a drive to succeed.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to handle and transport company funds securely.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
- Ability to read and interpret company directives, handbook, and manuals.
- Flexible schedule to meet store business needs.
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physically able to ascend/descend a ladder, retrieve and stock products on shelves, hang banners, and handle 50‑lb merchandise.
- Physically able to stand and move around the store for prolonged periods.
- Comfortable communicating with customers in person, electronically, and by phone.
- Proficient with point‑of‑sale systems, registers, and handheld devices.
