Base pay: $12.00/hr – $15.00/hr pay will depend on experience.

The Cook is responsible for the quality, quantity, tastiness, and freshness of all Hot Choice Buffet products. The Cook pays special attention to speed, cleanliness, organization, and product specifications.

• Prepare Hot Choice Buffet products, including carving and display cooking products, according to Golden Corral recipes and procedures.
• Grill all items according to Golden Corral standards to ensure quality.
• Ensure every fried product is fresh and hot.
• Restock items at the Display Cooking Station if the Buffet Attendant is unavailable.
• Assist guests with carved meat options if the Carver is unavailable.
• Operate the buffet production system to insure quality and shelf life compliance.

• Maintain the correct temperature of all products during cooking, holding, and serving.
• Use the Hot Choice Buffet Production Guide and Display Cooking Hot Cook Production Guide to manage inventory.
• Conduct opening and closing administrative procedures.
• Maintain equipment according to the Equipment Maintenance manual.
• Restock and rotate food products using FIFO.
• Takes inventory of products and checks build‑to with the Manager at shift start and end.

• Keep Hot Cook area and all smallwares clean; check dishes before use.
• Perform duty roster ensuring cleanliness, service, and quality standards.
• Follow local health department laws.
• Keep Char Grill clean and scraped to ensure product quality and sanitation.

• Ensure Hot Choice Buffet and Display Cooking products are always hot and fresh for guests.
• Know and follow position responsibilities related to just‑in‑time delivery.
• Treat guests with friendliness and courtesy; assist them with products.
• Maintain professional communication at all times.
