• A Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, organizing, and administering care within the scope of training and expertise, collaborating with other disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes, in conjunction with hospital objectives and policies, and the Nurse Practice Act of Arkansas.
• A Labor and Delivery Nurse is a Registered Nurse who provides care to women and infants before, during, and after birth; assists physicians and surgeons, and cares for deliveries that involve complications.
• Responsibilities include assessing patients and developing individualized plans of care addressing physical, psychological, educational/health literacy, sociocultural, and spiritual needs.
• Attention to detail and compassionate care for all aspects of pregnancy, labor, birth, and post‑pregnancy complications.

A new RN graduate from an accredited nursing program or a registered nurse in good standing, licensed to practice in Arkansas, is desired. BSN preferred. The candidate applies basic knowledge and skills to meet standards of care and acts as a full partner of an interdisciplinary team. Healthcare CPR is required; ACLS, PALS, and/or NALS may also be required, with training provided.

Specialty unit education will be provided.

This position is authorized 72.00 hours bi‑weekly.
