A forward-thinking heavy industrial manufacturer is seeking an experienced Logistics Supply Chain Manager to play a critical role in building and leading the logistics and internal transport operation for a growing production environment. This is a direct-hire leadership opportunity for a hands-on supply chain professional who thrives in manufacturing, values safety and quality, and knows how to drive performance through people, process, and continuous improvement.

Hours

& Pay
  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-5:00 pm (1st Shift)
  • Salary: $80,000-$90,000+ annually, based on experience
  • Employment Type: Direct Hire
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.; sit and stand as needed

What You"ll Do
  • Lead, develop, and manage logistics and internal transport teams to support production goals
  • Promote and enforce a safety-first culture, escalating violations as necessary
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards while reducing internal defects
  • Meet production volume requirements and delivery deadlines with flexibility
  • Improve productivity, reduce downtime, and optimize labor and equipment resources
  • Maintain and improve cleanliness, organization, and warehouse flow
  • Optimize logistics processes and reduce in-process inventory levels
  • Train, schedule, and manage employee performance, attendance, and leave
  • Monitor and reduce unnecessary energy consumption
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean manufacturing principles
  • Support hiring efforts and mentor team members for long-term development
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field strongly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in logistics or supply chain management within manufacturing
  • Required experience in heavy industrial and/or automotive vehicle manufacturing environments
  • Strong working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Experience hiring key production roles and developing high-performing teams
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using ERP systems, inventory management, or production operations software
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within cross-functional and cross-cultural teams
