Senior Telecommunications Network Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a Senior Telecommunications Network Engineer who will be responsible for implementing and monitoring infrastructure used in First Orion telecommunication solutions.

• Testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining REST API solutions
• Testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining SIP telecommunication solutions
• Assist in tuning performance and ensure high availability of infrastructure
• Developing test automation frameworks in collaboration with other First Orion teams
• Issue troubleshooting, tracking and analysis for patterns and resolution
• Support and validation of deployments, upgrades, and maintenance window activities
• On Call Rotation for Tier 3 support
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement of support infrastructure and First Orion solutions

• Industry experience with REST API, SIP, IP, Routing, Firewall, Monitoring
• Experience managing, maintaining , configuring SIP network elements including SBCs and SIP routing proxies
• Advanced knowledge of AWS infrastructure, including ECS, Cloud Watch , S3, API Gateways, EKS and network routing.
• Network Protocol Analysis (Wireshark, Opnet , Gigamon) – ability to dissect network telecommunication protocols over IP
• Experience creating, deploying Jobs, alerts, notebooks, queries, dashboards and DABS in Data Bricks
• Experience testing and diagnosing issues on Linux servers. TCPDUMP, CURL, and other OS based tools.
• Linux Shell Scripting (CSH, KSH, BASH)
• Data-Driven Scripting (SQL, Python, Scala)
• Good communication skills
• Technical skill set to implement and maintain operational solutions for monitoring, alerting, and tracking issues.
• Strong analytical skills to perform effective troubleshooting
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in high stress environment, independently and as part of team
• Attention to detail and work product validation
• Team player able to effectively interact with colleagues and stakeholders across the company
• Change management in complex environments

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related area of study
• 5+ years of industry experience focused on telecommunications support and system administration
• Experience maintaining large scale implementations
• TLS management and usage
• Token management
• Databricks Certified Data Engineer Associate certification
• Experience interfacing with multiple TAS, PBX vendors
