Arkansas Talent Group is seeking an Accounting Manager to add to our growing manufacturing client's accounting and finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for planning and directing all accounting operational functions, managing the accumulation and consolidation of financial information for financial statements, and assessing accounting and internal control systems.
Responsibilities:- Manage and reconcile all G/L accounts and subsidiary ledgers.
- Handle daily cash management and produce cash-flow reports, calculating cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals.
- Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
- Maintain internal control safeguards.
- Prepare and post payroll entries each pay date.
- Manage the monthly financial statement close process including analysis and review of financial results.
- Provide backup accounts payable duties to cover vacations / absences.
- Manage positive pay and ACH fraud control for bank accounts.
- Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
- Comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
- Coordinate activities of external auditors and prepare interim and year end audit schedules.
- Manage the front office accounting team and provide support.
- Help support and communicate benefits administration.
- Work closely with executive team and managers to ensure that company-wide operation is efficient and effective.
- Assess, execute and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies.
- Other duties as assigned by manager.
- Degree in Accounting or Finance.
- 5+ years experience in internal / private accounting.
- Previous experience in public accounting a plus.
- Experience managing AP and/or AP teams.
- Strong data analytics, budgeting and forecasting experience.
- Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Commitment and abilities to meet critical business deadlines.
- Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement.
