Caterpillar's Corporate Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Order to Delivery Intern program is seeking students currently enrolled in a four-year university, to work side by side with manufacturing and supply chain professionals at Caterpillar.

Interns are empowered with assignments that provide them with relevant work experience and significant opportunities for learning. In addition to this work, interns are encouraged to network with leaders and team members throughout the company to explore areas of Caterpillar outside of their assigned team.

Summer 2025 Corporate Intern Session:

This is a 40 hour per week assignment, lasting 12 weeks. Applicants will be considered for both on-site internship at locations across the United State, as well as some remote/virtual opportunities.

Compensation and Benefits:

At Caterpillar, our internship pay rates are standardized and take into account the following factors: the number of completed semester credit hours and whether the internship is considered an engineering, technical, or non-technical role. For Graduate level opportunities, the pay rate is determined by the type of degree you are pursuing (Master’s or Doctorate) post receiving an undergraduate degree.

Intern Pay Range:
  • Undergraduate: $21.40 - $27.90 per hour
  • Graduate: $32.25 - $38.50 per hour

Those interested in joining the Manufacturing and Supply Chain Corporate Intern Program must meet the following requirements for further consideration:
  • Must be enrolled full time at a 4-year accredited university/college in one of the following degree programs:

Agricultural Engineering - Agricultural Systems Management - Business Administration/Management with a focus/minor in Supply Chain, Statistics, Math or Logistics - Chemical Engineering - Electrical Engineering - Engineering Management - General Engineering - Industrial Distribution - Industrial Engineering/Technology – Logistics - Management Information Systems - Manufacturing Engineering/Technology - Manufacturing Systems - Materials Science Engineering - Mechanical Engineering/Technology - Operations Management - Supply Chain Management - Technical Systems Management

  • Minimum 2.8/4.0 Cumulative GPA (no rounding)
  • Expected graduation date is August 2025 or beyond
  • If a transfer student, must have 12 semester hours completed at a 4-year university
  • Must be able to relocate to indicated work location for on-site assignments for duration of internship, and complete daily work commute using reliable transportation. Not all available locations are listed.
Top Candidates will also possess:
  • Leadership involvement in campus organizations, community service and/or extracurricular activities
  • Previous co-op, internship, or experience in a manufacturing, supply chain or operations industry
  • Relevant coursework and/or projects
  • Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exhibit of critical thinking, analytical skills, and initiative
