Job Duties
The University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College in North Little Rock, Arkansas, is accepting applications for a substitute faculty position in Cosmetology located at the Little Rock South Campus. This position requires a commitment to teaching in a dynamic community college setting and the ability to successfully interact with and respond to the broad-ranging needs of an academically and culturally diverse campus.
GeneralResponsibilities
- Possess a thorough knowledge of the teaching field and commitment to high academic standards
- Commit to program building, student retention, student success, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Teaching assignments may include a variety of interdisciplinary courses in Cosmetology
- Assigned times will vary with demand
- Maintain active participation in non‑instructional campus responsibilities such as college and departmental initiatives, committee work, student record keeping, curriculum planning, assessment of student learning, and professional development
Minimum Qualifications
- Cosmetology Instructor License
- One year of cosmetology teaching experience in a two‑year college
- Two years of salon industry experience
- Knowledge of Arkansas Department of Health Cosmetology Laws and Regulations
This position pays $25 per hour.
