Responsibilities
- Instruct and evaluate Welding Technology courses with an emphasis on hands‑on applications.
- Ensure program alignment with industry‑recognized certifications and local industry needs.
- Understand and comply with UA‑PTC policies and procedures.
- Teach courses in accordance with approved UA‑PTC syllabi and academic standards.
- Participate in the assessment of student learning.
- Foster partnerships with industry to support program success.
- Identify equipment and supplies that support the curriculum.
- Ensure students adhere to safety and disciplinary regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Minimum Qualifications
- AWS certification.
- Three years of industry experience.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, online technology grading platform aptitude, and excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Preferred Qualifications
- AAS Welding or Emphasis in Welding.
- AWS Certification.
- Three to Five years of industry experience.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, online technology grading platforms, and excellent digital, written, and verbal communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
Adjunct Faculty are typically paid $675 per credit hour.
