JOB DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY:
Responsible for scheduling and performing mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance on all company fleet vehicles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and complete repairs on all types of fleet equipment.
- Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles.
- Perform mechanical repairs including engine repairs, clutches, some welding, electrical, greasing, transmission, and brake repairs.
- Inspect hoses, belts, fluids, and wiring.
- Respond to fleet service calls for 24-hour business needs; pick up and deliver vehicles.
- Perform preventative maintenance inspections and D.O.T. inspections using prescribed checklists.
- Identify and report all unsafe conditions.

- Automotive/Mechanical Trade or Vocational certification preferred.
- 1+ years of mechanic experience on light and heavy equipment required.
- 3+ years journeyman mechanic experience preferred.
- Diesel and hydraulic experience preferred.
- Experience with lift gates, roll-up doors, and electrical systems.
- Demonstrated mechanical and technical aptitude.
- Must supply automotive hand tools (excluding heavy-duty or diagnostic tools).
- Must have a valid CDL (Commercial Driver's License) with a clean driving record.
