An Equipment Operator is an essential member of our team and we invite you to apply and help contribute to CNLV’S growing success!
This posting will create a non-probationary internal Teamster eligibility list and fill 1 vacancies for this classification. The current vacancy is in the Public Works department. The eligibility list will be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification, for up to one hundred eighty (180) days. Non-probationary Teamster team members successfully completing the selection process will be placed on the eligibility list.

- Pay Considerations – The hourly pay for this position is $29.37. The selected candidate for this position will start at the beginning of the salary range, no exceptions. Existing employees will receive increases as outlined by their bargaining agreement.
- Work Schedule – This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day (36 hour work week), Monday through Thursday, 5:00am to 3:30pm.

Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation.
Under general supervision, responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various light and medium construction and maintenance equipment used in the maintenance, repair, and construction of City infrastructure, including streets, and stormwater systems. Performs routine maintenance and safety checks of assigned equipment and machines.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation and Experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Four (4) or more years of experience operating a variety of construction equipment.
- A valid Nevada state Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License, or must be obtained within twelve (12) months from date of hire/transfer/reclassification or promotion; may require special endorsements e.g., air brakes, tanker, and must maintain a satisfactory motor vehicle record.
- Must obtain a completion card for an OSHA 10 Hour Construction within fifteen (15) days of the date of hire.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid IMSA or ATSSA Work Zone Safety Certification within twelve (12) months of hire or promotion.
- Clark County Air Quality Dust Control within twelve (12) months of appointment to position.
- Nevada Department of Transportation Flagger Certification within 12 (twelve) months of appointment to position.
