What You’ll Do as a Territory Manager- Be the Customer Champion:
Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team-based selling model. Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies to help customers succeed. - Drive Sales Success:
Meet success by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business. Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailor your sales approach to individual customers. Effective time and territory management is critical. - Team Based Selling:
Collaborate with Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts opening. Work closely with marketing, supply chain and customer service to ensure seamless product delivery. - Lead with Insight:
Develop new business by identifying prospective customers using market intelligence databases, business directories, leads from existing clients, organizations and clubs, and by attending trade shows and conferences. - Delivery Resolution:
Manage deliveries to the routing schedule published by the transportation department; troubleshoot issues during the order process such as delivery mis-picks, short on loads, and stock-outs. - Competitive Advantage:
Know market conditions, product innovations, and competitors’ products, prices, and sales; share information with customers as part of value-added services. - Stay on the Move:
Drive your personal motor vehicle to conduct regular check-ins, site visits and follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
- No direct reports.
- Daily outside the office environment working in your assigned territory, visiting customers in variable weather and temperature conditions.
- 1+ year of sales experience preferred.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
- Food service industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
- Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
- Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills.
- Team-up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
- Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law. The expected base rate for this role is between $55,000 and $95,000. This role is also eligible for incentive pay. Benefits for this role may include health insurance, pre-tax spending accounts, retirement benefits, paid time off, short-term and long-term disability, employee stock purchase plan, and life insurance.
