Overview

Guest Advocate (Cashier or Front of Store Attendant/Cart Attendant) (T2497) rting hourly rate: 16.50 USD per hour. This role focuses on delivering an exceptional guest experience at the checkout and throughout the store.

• Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest experience by delivering the service standard.
• Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests and assisting with daily tasks.
• Engage with guests to solve their needs, answer questions, and resolve concerns.
• Inform guests about current promos, store activities, and events.
• Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to assist guests and improve their experience.
• Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with sign-up as needed.
• Scan and bag items accurately and efficiently, in compliance with safety standards.
• Work to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service quality and accuracy.
• Explain how to use features within the Target App (including Wallet) and direct guests to Order Pick-Up, Drive Up, and online ordering.
• Handle returns following store policies and escalate to leadership when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and stock supplies during store hours.
• Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; report hazards and take corrective action when possible.
• Support guest services such as order pick up, Drive-Up, and returns, ensuring compliance with laws and policies.
• All other duties as needed to support business operations.

• Strong communication, welcoming attitude, attention to detail, and ability to educate guests about products and services.
• Ability to use multiple devices, operate scanners, and work both independently and in a team.

• Accurately handle checkout transactions and support cash office operations as needed.
• Scan, move, and stock merchandise safely; frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 44 pounds.
• Flexible work schedule and reliable attendance.
• Ability to stay mobile during shifts and work in varying temperatures and environments (e.g., Drive-Up, carryout).
