Parts Specialist-3 role at O'Reilly Auto Parts
. The Parts Specialist will provide a high level of service to all retail and installer customers and support store management in assigned tasks. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
- Follow and promote all company customer service programs, such as Hi-5, Low Price Guarantee, Rock the Call, Related Selling, Rock the Lot, and related initiatives.
- Greet retail/walk-in customers promptly and assist them in selecting merchandise.
- Assist managers and/or installer service specialists in serving professional customers as needed and directed.
- Complete assigned company training relevant to the position.
- Provide excellent service to customers calling the store, including looking up parts, quoting prices, and offering related items and the Low-Price Guarantee.
- Maintain and secure the cash drawer; handle cash, checks, make change, and process credit card transactions.
- Process exchanges and returns for credit in accordance with company policies.
- Address and resolve customer complaints in a friendly manner.
- Assist with daily image maker and planogram updates, including freight receival, stocking, fronting and facing, and cleaning.
- Perform daily operational tasks such as processing returns to the distribution center, assisting with stock adjustments and inventory cycle counts.
- Operate brake lathe and other store test equipment after training and company requirements are met.
- Perform in-store services for customers (where state/local laws allow) such as installing wipers, testing/charging batteries, testing charging systems, scanning vehicle trouble codes, and replacing headlight capsules.
- Occasionally drive a delivery vehicle to make deliveries as needed, provided driving eligibility requirements are met.
- All other duties as assigned.
- Required:
Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences; ability to provide outstanding, friendly, and professional customer service; ability to multitask, handling customers on the phone and in-store simultaneously. - Desired:
Familiarity with automotive parts, cataloging, weatherly index system, and automotive sales or service; ASE certification; fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
