A Water Reclamations Facility (WRF) Operator 1 is an essential member of our team and we invite you to apply and help contribute to CNLV’S growing success!

Internal Notice for Teamster Team Members This posting will create a non-probationary internal Teamster eligibility list and fill two (2) vacancies for this classification. The current vacancy is in the UTILITIES department. The internal Teamster eligibility list will be utilized to fill vacancies for this classification, for up to one hundred and eighty (180) days. Non-probationary Teamster team members successfully completing the selection process will be placed on the internal Teamster eligibility list.

All other team members including part-time/temporary employees along with external candidates may apply for this recruitment. These individuals may be considered after the appropriate recruitment process of the collective bargaining agreement has been followed. If the vacancy is not filled through promotion by a full-time non-probationary Teamster team members, the next opportunity for placement will be to hire qualified part-time/temporary employees and external candidates.

ESSENTIAL INFORMATION

  • Pay Considerations – The starting hourly pay for this position is $31.32. The selected candidate for this position will start at the beginning of the salary range, no exceptions. Existing employees will receive increases as outlined by their bargaining.
  • Work Schedule – This position is scheduled to work 4 days per week, 9 hours per day, (36 hour work week). There are two shifts:
    Tuesday-Friday 6:00am-3:30pm & Saturday-Tuesday 6:00am-3:30pm. May be required to work various shifts, overtime, stand‑by, and call back during off hours to respond to emergencies.
  • Environment – While performing the essential functions of this job the employee is frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions, work near moving mechanical parts, work in high precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, or vibration. Working conditions are typically moderately quiet, but may be loud for limited durations while working with power tools, equipment, or machinery following all prescribed safety rules and regulations.

    Regular and timely attendance is required.
THE ROLE

Learns and performs a variety of skilled and semi-skilled work in the operation, maintenance, repair, and related service activities for the WRF. Individuals in this class drive a variety of vehicles and operate equipment for the treatment of wastewater.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent; and
  • One (1) year of full-time experience in construction, mechanical, or maintenance trades.
