Overview
Sales Professionals in industrial sales are expected to possess a high level of product, competitive, customer and territory knowledge. Strong candidates must possess the ability to sell to an established customer base and effectively prospect new accounts.
General Job (Inside Sales of Equipment and/or Consumables) requirements- The position is based in Rhode Island and territory coverage is National.
- Travel is required to maintain regularly scheduled visits to existing and potential customers.
- Set up appointments with customers, planning efficient use and management of time.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical product-related information.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, analyze and act upon sales data within assigned geography.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and exercise good business judgment and discretion and to analyze and address territory opportunities by building key customer relationships.
- Computer
Skills:
Proficiency in business software (MS Outlook, Word, Excel) - Experience with database software is helpful.
- Solid verbal and written communications abilities.
- Self-motivated, organized and disciplined to succeed
- Previous Industrial sales is a plus
- Familiarity with Additive Manufacturing (3D Printing) is a plus
- Familiarity with University funding patterns
- Seek opportunities within engineering universities, centers of excellence, and other educational facilities
- Subscription based selling for lectures, seminars, presentations, case studies and more.
- Additional equipment sale opportunities with each subscription base, or lease to own.
- Demonstrated ability to learn and apply technical product-related information.
- Work with marketing team for updates to website, materials, and growth plan.
- Work with marketing team to identify grants that would optimize efforts.
- First 6 months learning the product
- Second 6 months determine role for salesmen & company
