Position type:
Full time, permanent

Hours/Shift Pattern: 3 on 4 off days (0600 - 1800) 36 hours per week (Rotating between Month 1 Monday - Wednesday & Month 2 Thursday - Saturday)

Pay range: £23.87/ hour (£44,665.92 annually)

• Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance, including breakdowns and planned preventative tasks.
• Perform machine setups for production runs and ensure safe, compliant working practices.
• Complete maintenance documentation and support site projects as required.
• Manage engineering stores, order spares, and control contractors.
• Work collaboratively with production, quality, and site management teams.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and uphold high standards of health & safety and food industry compliance.

• Formal Electrical/Mechanical qualifications - NVQ Level 3 or equivalent minimum.
• Time-served engineering experience with strong fault‑finding skills.
• Knowledge of FMCG processes and GMP standards.
• Experience with Form Fill & Seal machines, ovens, fryers, check weighers, X‑ray machines, printers, robot packing machines, multi‑head weighers, and inline sealing machines.
• Experience with Frying and roasting equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Basic PC skills.
• Full, valid driving license.
• Strong Electrical fault‑finding skills.

• NVQ Level 4 or ONC or equivalent.
• FLT or MEWP trained.
• 18th Edition and testing/inspection experience.
• PLC fault‑finding and understanding of RCA/5 Why processes.
• IOSH/NEBOSH certification.
• Experience with CI projects and food industry environments.
• 6.6 weeks annual holiday entitlement.
