Department managers oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including training, food safety, inventory management, goal setting, task delegation, progress tracking, and reporting outcomes to their team and other managers.

Specific responsibilities vary by department:

• Kitchen Department Manager – ensure high‑quality food is delivered quickly, food is safe, food cost is controlled, and kitchen staff are trained on production procedures, including new menu items.
• People Department Manager – hire qualified crew, train them, schedule to meet sales and profit goals, onboard new hires, and motivate and recognize employees.
• Service Department Manager – guarantee a memorable customer experience, execute promotions effectively, train service staff, and maintain organized Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive‑Thru areas.

• Starting pay of $15 or more, depending on experience.
