Phlebotomist Floater
Location: North Haven, CT
Duration: 3+ Months (Possibility of Extension and conversion based upon performance)
Pay Range: $20.24 - $22.00/hr. on W2
Shift: Mon – Fri 8:30am – 5:30pm with rotational Sat 8:30am – 12:30pm
Note:
Floaters are able to submit mileage for expense reimbursement.
Job Description:
- The Patient Services Representative represents the face of our company to patients who come in, both as part of their health routine or for insights into life-defining health decisions.
- The PSR draws quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
- The PSR has direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skilful, safe, and accurate manner.
- The PSR will demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information. Successful applicants may be assigned to a doctor's office, a patient service center or as business needs dictate.
- Required:
High School Diploma or GED - Required:
2-3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections - Floaters travel in between multiple sites and are expected to be on time at whatever site they are covering for that day.
- Must have reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
