Traffic Signal Design Engineer - (Hybrid | New Haven, CT)

An established and growing engineering firm is seeking a full-time Traffic signal Engineer to join its Traffic Design Team in a hybrid role based in New Haven, Connecticut
. This position is ideal for candidates with 5+ years of experience in transportation or traffic engineering who are looking to advance their career in a collaborative and innovative environment.

We are seeking candidates with:

• Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local design standards, including MUTCD and AASHTO
• Experience with traffic engineering software such as:
  • Highway Capacity Software (HCS)
  • SYNCHRO / SIMTRAFFIC
  • CORSIM
• Background supporting transportation projects including:
  • Traffic data analysis
  • Technical report writing
  • Corridor and safety studies
  • Traffic signal design
  • Maintenance and protection of traffic (MPT) plans
  • Traffic impact and operations analyses
  • Highway, intersection, or interchange improvements

The selected candidate will support traffic engineering services on various state and municipal projects. Responsibilities will involve analysis, design development, documentation, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
