Sandy Park Development Center provides support for persons with developmental and intellectual disabilities by enhancing their quality of life. We do this through community involvement and participation as well as enrichment opportunities throughout their life. As a member of our staff, you will be a part of one of these living centers and provide vital around the clock care, which includes nursing and medical oversight, to our residents.

This position directly supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position helps with everyday meal service (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks).

Follow menus and production schedule as posted. Prepare food by standardized recipe with optimum and consistent quality of appearance, texture, taste and temperature.

Prepare correct quantity of food with appropriate number of servings for assigned house. Serve correct portion sizes following food textures, therapeutic diets and special meal car instructions.

Demonstrate a working knowledge of safety, utilizing equipment in a safe manner.

Demonstrate a working knowledge of sanitation and infection control standards and of 64E-11 regulations. Document temperatures for refrigeration units, dishwashers and food.

Follow snack lists and distribute to houses; seal, date and label. Serve meals on time.

• Have or will attend professional food handler's course for certification.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

6 months experience preferred working with Intellectual/Developmental Disability populations.

$18.00 per hour
