Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Stainless Steel Shop Welder to perform high-quality welding on stainless steel components in our shop. This is a shop-only position and does not require any travel for fieldwork. The candidate will have expertise in MIG and TIG welding and a strong ability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. You will be responsible for ensuring all welds are precise and meet our high standards of craftsmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on stainless steel materials in a shop-only setting (
no fieldwork required to be performed
) - Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements.
- Ensure welds are executed to high-quality standards, meeting industry specifications.
- Inspect and measure work pieces to verify adherence to specifications.
- Maintain and operate welding equipment and tools effectively.
- Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on welding equipment.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure project goals and deadlines are met.
Qualifications:
- 2+ yrs experience as a Stainless-Steel Welder with additional proficient experience in MIG and TIG welding.
- Clean driving record to be an insured driver for the company.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Knowledge of stainless steel properties and welding techniques.
- Strong knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification is highly desirable.
Preferred
Skills:
- Experience with custom stainless‑steel fabrication and finishing.
- Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance on welding equipment.
- Knowledge of welding best practices and industry standards.
