Traffic Safety Services, Inc. is seeking a Pavement Marking Equipment Operator. The successful candidate will be a dedicated team player with the ability to manage others. This person will be able to direct their teammates in the successful achievement of their project goals, while also interacting politely and respectfully with the contractor, customers, etc. Establishing a strong working relationship with administrative staff will be essential.
Key Responsibilities- Reports to the Crew Foreman or Division Manager.
- Operate basic and specialized power equipment typically used in the field such as, but not limited to: sign installation equipment, various types of power equipment, hand striping equipment, groover, paint truck, various components of machine striping equipment, forklift, skidsteer, and various types of power equipment used in field and/or yard operations.
- Operate company vehicles and equipment.
- Operate a forklift and skidsteer for loading and unloading of trucks and/or equipment and materials.
- Perform basic maintenance for assigned operating equipment.
- Assists in the painting and taping of roads.
- Understanding of basic installation and ability to layout proper installation are required.
- A CDL license is REQUIRED.
- Regularly required to stand/walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance and stoop; and kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds.
- Regularly exposed to outside weather conditions; moving equipment and machinery parts; moving traffic, and fumes and airborne particles.
- Noise level of the work environment is usually moderate/loud.
- Other duties assigned as needed.
- High school education.
- Minimum of one year of experience or training as an equipment operator.
- Must possess good communication skills (oral and written).
- Valid CDL driver’s license is REQUIRED.
- Forklift certification.
- Certification as a traffic control technician / flagger.

The background check company, Continental Screening Services, will prepare the background report for the Company.
The background report may contain information concerning your character, general reputation, personal characteristics, mode of living, criminal history, and credit standing. An "investigative consumer report" is a background report that includes information from personal interviews. Information may be obtained from private and public sources and for investigative consumer reports from personal interviews as noted above.
The Company may require you to complete a drug screening test and/or physical on you in connection with your employment application. Continental Screening Services will supply drug screening and physical reports to the Company.
