Overview

Diesel Mechanic — Pay: $25 - $35 Per Hour

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines in various vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Responsible for everyday general maintenance on diesel semi trucks such as clutches, transmissions, brakes, drivetrain, suspension, DOT inspections, wiring, etc.

As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines in various vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely. Responsible for everyday general maintenance on diesel semi trucks such as clutches, transmissions, brakes, drivetrain, suspension, DOT inspections, wiring, etc.

• Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks
• Diagnose and repair engine mechanical issues
• Inspect and test engines to identify problems
• Use power tools to disassemble and reassemble engine parts
• Fabricate parts as needed for repairs
• Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues
• Perform chassis related jobs such as transmission and clutch work, differential and drivetrain work, wiring, brakes, suspension, etc.

• Proficiency in tractor-trailer maintenance
• Experience with power tools for engine repairs
• Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair techniques
• Ability to fabricate parts using various tools
• Skill in interpreting schematics for troubleshooting
• Background in heavy duty diesel repair for semi trucks
• Experience operating a bobcat for moving heavy parts

• Job Type: Full-time
• Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
• Expected hours: 40 – 45 per week

• Diesel engine repair: 5 years (Preferred)
