Description & Details:
Temporary assignment at an agricultural research center responsible for assisting in the crop disease management research program. Primary responsibilities involve assisting in irrigation system construction and maintenance, data collection, weeding, and other tasks associated with execution of agronomic research studies; seed packaging, cleaning and construction of irrigation system components, data entry, seed quality assessment, and assistance with plant pathogen inoculum preparation in the laboratory.
A willingness to do physical labor outside under diverse weather conditions is required.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 3:30 to 5 PM school year, summer 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Opportunities for overtime hours are available but not expected for workers 16 years old and older.
Advertised Pay:
Commensurate with experience.
Pay is based on several factors, including budget, labor market, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and/or certification and other business considerations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Willingness to be timely to work schedule and desire to put forth consistent and full work days. The experience or demonstrated ability to learn the skills necessary to operate specialized research and laboratory equipment. Detail orientated, ability to maintain focus on task
