TM Receiver

Overview

The TM Receiver is responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy to keep inventory shortages at or below store goals and maximize store sales by receiving and shipping freight within a timely manner. The TM Receiver is also responsible for interacting with customers and Team Members, supporting selling initiatives, and performing assigned tasks while delivering a Legendary Customer Experience. The position promotes a safe and productive work environment for all Team Members, customers, and vendors, and adheres to Tractor Supply Company safety training and guidelines.

• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Work scheduled shifts, and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.

• The TM Receiver is required to perform a combination of duties during 95 percent of their day, including but not limited to:
• Process inbound and outbound freight.
• Maintain accurate inventory control and adhere to loss prevention standards.
• Recover merchandise.
• Participate in mandatory freight processes.
• Keep a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Maintain, recover, stock, and tag assigned work areas including all merchandise displayed outside of the store.
• Operate cash registers/computers following cash handling procedures.
• Ensure the customer has a Legendary shopping experience.
• Rotate and dispose of dated products.
• Assemble merchandise.
• Operate forklift.
• Operate cardboard baler.
• Sanitize and maintain poultry holding tanks and care for birds as required.
• Complete all documentation associated with any of the above job duties.
• Obtain license or certifications as needed by the business.
• May be required to perform other duties as assigned.

• Shipping/receiving experience preferred but not required.

• Retail experience and/or farming, ranching, pet/equine, or welding knowledge strongly preferred.

• Must be 18 years of age or older and possess a valid driver’s license.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required; all applicants must be able to read, write, and count accurately.

• Basic computer skills/experience.
• Basic math skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to resolve issues ethically and with minimal conflict.

• Indoor work with moderate noise; outdoor lots with hard surfaces (concrete, asphalt).
• Work shifts vary; generally no less than 4 hours and may exceed 8 hours.
• Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
• Promote a safe and productive work environment for Team Members and customers.

• Non-sedentary position requiring frequent movement throughout the store and outdoor areas.
• Ability to operate forklift and use all equipment necessary to run a store (e.g., dolly, hand truck, forklift, baler, computer, cash register).
• Ability to push and pull merchandise up to 2,000 pounds with proper equipment.
• Ability to lift or reach merchandise overhead, move and transfer merchandise weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, kneel, twist, crouch, squat, bend, stoop, and climb ladders frequently.
• Ability to operate store equipment such as computer and cash register.
• Ability to read, write, and count accurately for documentation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to process information through the point-of-sale system.
• Ability to handle or be in contact with birds/poultry.
• Ability to complete required training and certifications, including propane dispensing if applicable.
• Ability to travel as required for district needs.
