Position DetailsEmergency Room RN – Trauma Level IV (Acute Stroke Ready)
ER Setup2 ER rooms + 1 overflow; no fast track, psych rooms, or holding area; no in‑house security (911 response); average 4–5 patients/day; ratio 2:1 (Charge RN has no assignment)
RequirementsER experience (similar setting); BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (TNCC preferred)
Common Cases- Acute illness
- Trauma
- Orthopedics
- Cardiac (STEMI ship out)
- Heparin
- Cardizem
- Nitro
- No RT or monitor tech (RN manages ABGs, EKGs, tele, breathing treatments)
- Phlebotomy draws labs
- Radiology on‑call after hours
- Float to Med/Surg
7 a.m. – 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. – 7 a.m., self‑scheduling; every other weekend & holiday; low census on‑call possible
Dress CodeAny scrub color, closed‑toe shoes
Orientation1 day + 1 night shift on unit
