  • Promote and support shared governance, professional development, and a culture of accountability and empowerment among nurse leaders and frontline staff.
  • Lead or contribute to strategic initiatives such as high reliability organization practices, quality improvement, and the development of new programs (e.g., dialysis).
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards and lead continuous improvement efforts in patient safety and clinical quality.
  • Represent nursing services as a key member of the hospital’s executive leadership team, building partnerships across departments and with community stakeholders.
  • Maintain strong presence and visibility onsite with staff, patients, and families.
Education & Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience, including prior executive‑level responsibility in an acute or critical access hospital setting.
Licensure & Certifications
  • Active RN licensure in the state of North Dakota or Nurse Licensure Compact (license must be in state of residence).
Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Training
  • Strong knowledge and application of nursing practice and systems frameworks.
  • Excellent strategic thinking skills; demonstrated resource management and stewardship abilities.
