OR Registered Nurse | Surrey, North Dakota

Location: Surrey

An opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse specializing in the Operating Room to provide comprehensive perioperative care in a Level 2 Trauma Center setting. The role focuses on circulating nursing duties under the guidance of Surgical Services leadership, ensuring patient safety from pre-op through post-op phases, in alignment with established AORN standards and recommended practices.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as the circulating nurse during surgical procedures, monitoring patient status and safety
• Perform assessments, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care throughout surgical interventions
• Collaborate effectively with surgical teams to maintain asepsis and infection control protocols
• Respond appropriately to intraoperative changes and emergencies
• Support adherence to institutional policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current RN license in North Dakota or compact RN licensure accepted
• BLS certification required within the orientation period
• CNOR certification preferred but not mandatory for this circulator RN role
• Minimum of two years of experience in the specialty preferred
• Experience in Level 2 trauma settings is advantageous
• Proficiency with Cerner electronic health records
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work efficiently and make sound clinical judgments
• Strong teamwork and communication skills in a dynamic surgical environment

Schedule:

• Call requirement of one day per week plus some weekends on a six-week rotation

• Located within a 50-mile radius of Surrey, ND
