Position: Registered Nurse
Job Type: POOL / Non-Exempt
Shift Details: Days, Nights, Weekends, As Needed (7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am)
Work Location: Crisis - Ellendale RRC, 700 Main Street, Ellendale, DE 19941
Salary/Hourly Wage: $40.00 - $43.00/hour

Summary of Job: The Registered Nurse (RN) position oversees the medical, psychiatric, substance abuse and nursing care for individuals served and serves as clinical liaison for designated individuals until they are enrolled in services at another community facility.
Responsibilities- Guest Care & Advocacy:
Coordinates services with public and private community health, mental health and social service agencies to ensure appropriate services for individuals. - Assists individuals with preparation and recording of the service planning process.
- Conducts assessments and treatment plans.
- Provides individual and family counseling.
- Participates in the development of educational curriculum.
- Supervises and/or provides nursing treatment and monitoring (e.g., diabetes and blood pressure).
- Responds to crisis calls for assessment and intervention as needed.
- Coordinates the relationship with outside medical and nursing support services including pharmacy and laboratory services.
- Administers medication as required by protocol.
- Completes clinical documentation as required.
- Keeps abreast of federal and state regulations and Recovery Innovations policies; adheres to Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest policies.
- Collaborates with an interdisciplinary team to improve productivity, efficiency, recovery outcomes and medical care.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Education/Licenses: Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing as a Registered Nurse;
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred;
Valid/state RN license (Compact licensure preferred). - Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a behavioral health setting.
- Skills: Knowledge of psychiatric medications, indications, side effects and interactions;
Basic computer skills; attention to detail; problem solving; ability to conduct assessments and treatment plans; verbal and written communication; effective listening; excellent documentation;
Trauma Informed Care experience preferred; bilingual preferred. - Other: Must pass de-escalation training as required; driving requirements per RI policy if applicable; travel required based on business need; must be at least 18 years old unless restricted by local regulations; ability to maintain confidentiality (HIPAA).
- Background & Misc: Pass seven-year background check; pass substance abuse testing and/or TB testing (if applicable); pass education verification; obtain fingerprinting clearance where required; pass three-year motor vehicle report if driving.
- Onboarding: A Nursing Competency Checklist must be completed as part of new hire onboarding.
