Sanford Health invites Nursing Associates to work as Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) at the GSS ND Oakes facility in Oakes, ND. The role is full‑time, 12‑hour night shifts, with rotation through weekends and holidays.
Base pay range$26.00/hr – $36.00/hr
Job SummaryThe Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long‑term care, under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. The LPN demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles for each resident, performs assessments, administers medications or treatments as ordered, documents resident interactions and outcomes, and contributes to an interdisciplinary care team. The LPN also provides technical support to other healthcare professionals and counsels residents, families, or advocate on prevention and treatment plans.
The role includes 12‑hour night shifts, 36 hours per week, and rotating weekend/holiday shifts.
• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and hold a current LPN license; associate degree in practical nursing preferred.
• If IV therapy/management is required, hold graduation from a Board‑approved AASPN program with IV curriculum or completion of an approved IV therapy course in North Dakota.
• Minimum 400 hours of clinical experience as an LPN or experience as a licensed practical nurse at another facility, or attended a pre‑licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the lifespan.
• Unencumbered LPN license with state nursing board and/or multi‑state licensure privileges; maintain required competencies, certifications, CEUs per department/ facility.
