Full-Time Qualifications- One year of specialized paid or unpaid experience gained after your 16th birthday and related to the food industry (e.g., experience providing supervision or management in a food, poultry, or livestock business; chef or cook at a commercial restaurant or kitchen, in a meat or poultry slaughter, processing, or other food manufacturing plant, meat cutter/butcher, quality control/lab, veterinary technician); skill in collecting samples and examinations, written reports and reporting results orally.
- or B.S. degree or full 4-year course of study leading to a Bachelor s degree from an accredited college/university that includes at least 24 semester hours in agriculture, biological, or physical sciences, food technology, nutrition, epidemiology, pharmacy, or engineering.
- or A combination of education and specialized experience that meets 100 percent of the requirements for qualification.
