CNC Machinist - Tool & Die

Marvin Composites is hiring a Tool & Die Maker / CNC Machinist to set up, program, and operate CNC mills, wire EDMs, and surface grinders to manufacture, maintain, and repair precision dies and tooling. The role includes performing quality inspections, creating and editing CNC programs, supporting production with timely repairs, and participating in continuous improvement within a team environment. Compensation ranges $24–$42 per hour plus shift premiums, with a $4,000 sign‑on bonus and relocation support up to $5,000.

Shift options include day, second, and overnight shifts; overtime is optional.

In our modern, climate‑controlled Tool & Die department, you’ll set up and operate CNC equipment, support production teams, and ensure smooth, efficient operations. We foster a collaborative environment where staff support each other to achieve shared goals.

Shift options: day, second, and overnight (overtime optional). Base rate: $24–$42 per hour. Additional premium incentives:

• Weekend premium: +$4.00 per hour
• Overnight premium: +20% of hourly rate
• Second‑shift premium: +10% of hourly rate
• Pay based on experience

• Work with advanced equipment in a well‑equipped Tool & Die department, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• Set up, program, and operate vertical mills, wire EDMs, and surface grinders to manufacture and modify precision dies and tooling
• Create and edit programs on various controls to produce high‑end tooling
• Inspect, maintain, and repair machining equipment, tools, and dies to ensure top‑quality performance
• Perform quality checks with measuring and gauging tools, ensuring accuracy and adherence to guidelines for on‑time delivery and minimal waste

• A team‑focused mentality, with the ability to train and mentor
• A proactive approach to supporting production and solving challenges
• Two or more years of related experience as a Tool & Die Maker or CNC Machinist, or a technical degree such as Precision Machining Technology
• Mechanical or technical proficiency to operate equipment such as a CNC mill or surface grinder
