Overview
Mountrail County is now accepting applications for an Assistant State’s Attorney to support the State’s Attorney in prosecuting criminal offenses and providing legal representation to Mountrail County regarding civil matters. Duties will include representing Mountrail County entities in various courtroom proceedings, preparing criminal charging documents, consulting with law enforcement, conducting legal research and more.

- Preparing criminal charging documents.
- Consulting with law enforcement.
- Conducting legal research and related tasks.
- Juris Doctorate Degree and licensure to practice law in North Dakota (or ability to obtain licensing shortly after hire).
- Excellent organizational and attention to detail; strong time management; ability to communicate effectively; strong public relation skills.
- Willingness to be on-call on a rotating basis to provide legal assistance on nights and weekends.
- Ability to pass a thorough background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
This is a full-time position offering a salary range of $91,350–$109,876 per year DOE with benefits including fully paid family health insurance and retirement plan.
