Rapid Response Team – Data Center Technician
OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our Rapid Response Team. This role is critical to maintaining the availability, reliability, and performance of our data center operations. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, hands‑on experience with hardware and networking, and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues in a fast‑paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure continuous data center operations to meet service level requirements.
- Perform hardware and network diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Conduct root cause analysis for hardware and software failures.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
- Provide technical support and training to internal teams.
- Create and maintain scripts for server and network hardware updates.
- Manage inventory and maintain accurate records of equipment.
- Assemble, install, and configure data center equipment.
- Perform maintenance on test and tools equipment.
- Travel occasionally to other data center locations as needed.
- 3+ years of data center experience
, including rack and stack operations. - Strong knowledge of computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Experience with computer networking and related protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python and Bash
. - Familiarity with Cisco IOS and/or Juniper JunOS
. - Understanding of cabling standards and best practices.
- Associate degree in an IT‑related field or equivalent experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in high‑pressure situations.
- Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
This position is part of a Rapid Response Team and may require deployment to other sites based on operational needs.
Job Type & LocationContract position based out of Ellendale, ND.
Pay and BenefitsPay range: $30.00 – $50.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
