Morrisey’s Pub is a local and guest favorite with an inviting atmosphere, tasty comfort food and delicious cocktails. We are looking to recruit a stellar individual for the upcoming season. The Pub Bartenders always happily prepare alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for the bar and patrons.

Compensation Information: $17.85 per hour

Physical Requirement: Medium; work activities involve handling loads between 10kg and 20kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.

This job position requires physical presence at the designated location.

Skills you bring with you:

  • 5 years’ Bartending experience.
  • Serving it Right Certification.
  • Excellent Food, Beer & Liquor knowledge.
  • Ability to work as a team as well as independently.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organization and time management skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Dedicated to working within a dynamic team that focuses on collaboration and guest experience.
  • Excellence in communication to allow a clear line of action for team success in an ongoing guest service aspect.
  • Must be available to work various shifts, including availability on weekends.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to lift kegs weighing 116KG with another team member safely.
  • Owns the preparation of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for the bar and the patrons of our food and beverage outlets.
  • Performs exceptional service delivery of all Food & Beverage services from the point of guest seating to dining experience completion.
  • Identifies the timely need for ordering/replenishment of food & beverage and for providing the bill.
  • Delivers the hotel's essential service standards, demonstrating hospitality warmth.
  • Assists with the entire F&B Department operations as business volumes may dictate, including Banquets and Mantles Restaurant & Lounge.
  • Ensures operational Health and Safety regulations are permanently adhered to.
  • Acts as an ambassador for the destination, sharing knowledge of the wider Thompson-Nicola region.
  • While infrequent, capable of assisting in emergencies, making prompt decisions in the guest’s and hotel’s best interest.
