Housekeeper – CHI St. Alexius Health

Responsible for maintaining assigned areas of the hospital in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition to promote a clean and healthy environment for all employees, patients, and guests.

• Cleans occupied patient rooms daily: disinfect and clean room sinks, counter tops, patient tables, mirrors; wet and dry mop floor; dispose of garbage.
• Weekly tasks: move movable furniture, dust all furniture and shades on windows, vent, lights; clean and disinfect garbage cans; replace supplies.
• As‑needed tasks: clean ceiling and floor fans, replace sharps containers, spot clean walls, shampoo patient chairs.
• Monthly tasks: clean heating/AC filters, doors and trim, replace dirty divider curtains.
• Common areas: clean hall handrails daily, vacuum carpeted areas daily, dust hallway floors daily, wet mop weekly or as needed.
• Isolation procedures: practice infection control, dispose of isolation garbage properly, use new mop head per room, color‑coded cleaning rags.
• Other patient care areas: clean and disinfect public bathrooms daily, dispose of garbage, dust and wet mop floors daily.
• Office areas weekly: dust furniture, dust window shades, move furniture and clean under, wet mop floors, vacuum carpet.
• Clinic:
  Daily – disinfect bathroom fixtures, treatment room floor, sinks; vacuum carpets; dispose of garbage and red‑bag garbage. Weekly – dust patient rooms and offices, wet mop office floors or as needed, replace supplies.

Literate – ability to understand and complete written and verbal instructions.

Experience helpful but not required.

$15.00 – $19.82 per hour
