Job DescriptionPro Sidian seeks a Pharmacy Technician | Pharmacy Support Services for Program Support on a CONUS‑Mid West Region contract. The role supports the Indian Health Service at Quentin N. Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility and other CONUS locations.
Job OverviewProvide Inventory Management as a Pharmacy Technician in the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector.
Responsibilities include:
- Assist pharmacists with prescription processing and labeling.
- Enter prescription data using Script Pro or equivalent systems.
- Prepare medications and attach auxiliary labels for dispensing.
- Restock and maintain pharmacy inventory and supplies.
- Assist with controlled substance record‑keeping under pharmacist supervision.
- Support IV admixture preparation and unit dose cart filling.
- Maintain pharmacy cleanliness and safety standards.
- Perform customer service and patient interaction tasks as delegated.
Desired qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program (preferred).
- Certification through PTCB or equivalent (preferred).
- Experience working under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
Required knowledge and skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy.
- Knowledge of pharmacy procedures and medication safety protocols.
- Familiarity with Native American healthcare settings is a plus.
- Accurate medication preparation and data entry.
- Proficiency with pharmacy information systems.
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and drug names.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Dependability and reliability in a clinical setting.
- Effective communication with patients and staff.
- Ability to follow protocols and regulatory guidelines.
Must lift and handle medication stock and supplies; maintain a clean and organized work environment; immunization and background check documentation required; work under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
