Senior Financial Accountant

You will be the key finance professional in Oeiras, responsible for managing the full accounting cycle of the Portuguese entity. This is a hands‑on role with high autonomy, ideal for someone who thrives in building processes from scratch and navigating complex, multinational environments. You’ll work closely with international teams, particularly in EUA, and external providers, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic insight across all financial matters.

• Lead monthly accounting close, journal entries, and financial analysis for assigned entities.
• Manage bank transactions, accruals, depreciation, intercompany activity, payroll, and lease accounting.
• Oversee vendor invoice processing and employee expense claims.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany invoices and ensure timely settlements.
• Own the P&A and balance sheet for the Portuguese entity.
• Ensure compliance with Portuguese statutory requirements and IFRS standards.
• Coordinate VAT returns, income tax filings, and statutory financial statements.
• Support the transition from external accounting support to in‑house processes.
• Collaborate with global teams across finance and operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA certification required.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting, ideally within multinational environments.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Portuguese GAAP.
• Experience with intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and time‑writing processes.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (IFS preferred) and MS Excel.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently across time zones.
