SUMMARY:

Assist the Uniform Coordinator, provide input in planning, and oversee the daily operation of the Uniform Department.

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION,

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Knowledge and Certification

Required:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. required
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Must be able to obtain a Non-Gaming license upon hire

Preferred:

  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Ability to operate a sewing machine

Skills

Required:

  • Ability to handle diverse situations
  • Basic computer skills
  • Appropriate dress code

Abilities

Required:

  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, holidays and snow days
  • Able to cover any and all shifts as necessary
  • Reliable transportation
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with attendants, other departments’ employees, visitors to the Uniform Department and Coordinator
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to be an effective team leader, able to provide a welcoming and helpful environment in the Uniform department
  • Able to attend training sessions and webinars to increase supervisory skills
  • Learn and implement Uniform Policies and Procedures

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Uniform Department to ensure that all uniformed employees have their uniforms
  • Train and supervise uniform attendants
  • Delegate and assign tasks to attendants
  • Ensure communication among the attendants and that they are working together on a professional level
  • Communicate and coordinate work needs with the other shift
  • Inspect uniform department area to ensure that it is kept tidy and clean
  • Write out repair orders for the seamstress for items needing repair or hemming
  • Collect damage uniform pieces to log information on the damage and remove them from inventory
  • Monitor the physical inventory of uniforms, entering data as necessary into the computer system
  • Receive new stock of uniform pieces and check off the items on the shipping/packing list
  • Perform the Essential duties and responsibilities of the uniform attendant as needed
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary to fulfill the function and responsibility of this position
  • Work closely with the Uniform Coordinator, assisting with and implementing any improvements as needed and instructed
  • Knowledge of hotel, facilities and DMC events

Must be flexible with work schedule. Must be willing to work any hours and/or shift, as assigned, according to business needs. Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals. High volume direct public contact.
