The position is geared towards an individual with at least 3-5 years of safety experience in oil and gas production operations. The successful candidate will serve a vital role in ensuring that the plants maintain compliance with all state and federal environmental, OSHA and other Regulatory Agency regulations associated with plant operations. This position will work closely with the various plant supervisors, plant personnel, KM EHS departments, and engineering departments.
The position will be heavily involved with Process Safety Management of these PSM facilities.
- Promote the Company's EHS philosophy and culture.
- Assist in Preparation and submittal of annual emissions and hazardous waste inventories as required.
- Assist in continued implementation of and adherence to the Company's EHS Management Plan.
- Assist operations with Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA), Pre Start-Up Safety Reviews (PSSR), closure of assigned action items, Ops Info/Maximo implementation and administration, Operating and Maintenance procedures, and Assist with the overall improvement of PSM program.
- Work with plant and field personnel to identify solutions to arising EHS issues and audit findings.
- Assist operations in Risk Management and Incident Investigation processes including facilitating root cause analysis of reported incidents, near misses, injury, or vehicle collision.
- Promote Behavior Based Safety principles.
- Assist in Maintaining safety equipment in proper working order and coordinate required inspections, maintenance, calibration/testing, and replacement as required.
- Assist in the development and enhancement of compliance review policies and procedures.
- Assist with, coordinating, and conducting EHS-related training.
- Participate in Emergency Response planning, preparation and efforts.
- Participate in corporate Technical Work Groups, as appropriate.
- Will carry a company-provided cell phone/pager and respond during working and non-working hours.
- Willing to work around plant/production vessels and piping systems containing H2S and hydrocarbon gases which are flammable and may be explosive under certain circumstances.
- Operate a company vehicle.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Job level is commensurate with experience and skill set of successful candidate.
