Responsibilities
  • Support R&D laboratory areas with daily safety checks, glassware maintenance, and comprehensive chemical and supply management.
  • Perform routine weekly and monthly maintenance for specialized laboratory instruments, including HPLC systems, ultra-low temperature freezers, and viscometers.
  • Assist with pipeline projects by preparing analytical reagent solutions and compounding formulations for major study preparations.
  • Manage laboratory waste and general organization to ensure a safe and efficient working environment for the research team.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with EHS, stockroom, and equipment calibration teams to streamline lab support tasks.
  • Execute wet bench work while strictly adhering to safety requirements and handling hazardous chemicals according to protocol.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and communication across teams to ensure timely project support and lab upkeep.
Qualifications Required Skills
  • Education/

    Experience:

    High School Diploma with a STEM background and 3+ years of lab experience, OR an Associate/BS/BA in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, or Pharmaceutical Sciences with 0-3 years of lab experience.
  • Lab Maintenance:
    Proven experience in laboratory upkeep, including supply management, waste disposal, and safety compliance (e.g., eye wash stations).
  • Instrumentation:
    Ability to perform routine cleaning and maintenance on lab equipment (pH meters, pipettes, water baths, etc.).
  • Technical Basics:
    Proficiency in wet bench work and basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets).
  • Physical Ability:
    Capability to safely lift reagents/supplies and handle hazardous chemicals.
Preferred Skills
  • Industry

    Experience:

    Previous experience working within a pharmaceutical R&D or GMP environment.
  • Advanced Equipment:
    Familiarity with HPLC maintenance or ultra-low temperature freezer monitoring.
  • Soft Skills:

    Strong multitasking abilities and a high level of attention to detail regarding cleanliness and documentation.
