Project Manager- Bioinformatics Data

Hello,

We are The Fountain Group, a national staffing firm and we are currently seeking a Project Manager - Bioinformatics Data for a prominent client of ours. This position is based in North Chicago, IL
. Details for the position are as follows:

• Pay: $75-80/hr to start
• Duration: 3-month assignment with potential extension based on performance and budget
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week;
  Hybrid (onsite Tuesday–Thursday, remote Monday & Friday)

• Lead and organize bioinformatics projects: Coordinate working groups, manage project timelines, deliverables, and documentation for data platforms (e.g., Code Ocean), metadata management, and data storage initiatives.
• Track risks, dependencies, and progress: Monitor project risks, ensure milestones are met, and maintain clear communication between technical teams and leadership.
• Support cross-functional collaboration: Facilitate meetings, action items, and communication systems to align teams with strategic bioinformatics goals.

• High School Diploma required;
  Bachelor’s or higher strongly preferred
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Experience in a drug discovery or research environment required
• Direct, tactical project management experience required
• Experience with omics data management and project management systems such as Code Ocean, Databricks, Smartsheet, and Confluence is preferred
