The Clinical Application Specialist II will support a global epidemiology function within clinical sciences, partnering closely with therapeutic strategy teams. This role focuses on the design, execution, and interpretation of pharmacoepidemiologic and real-world evidence studies. The position requires strong quantitative expertise, scientific rigor, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, strategy-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and data landscaping, synthesizing epidemiology findings into clear written summaries and presentations
- Lead and support real-world evidence generation, including evidence gap identification, study design, protocol development, and analysis planning
- Collaborate with analytic and cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality study execution and interpretation of results
- Contribute to epidemiological safety assessments, benefit-risk evaluations, and risk management activities
- Support regulatory submissions and responses with scientifically sound epidemiologic analyses and documentation
- Generate validated tables, listings, and graphical outputs to support clinical and compound-level projects
- Ensure quality assurance and validation of all analytical outputs and deliverables
- Doctoral degree in epidemiology, outcomes research, or a related scientific discipline
- Strong knowledge of epidemiologic study design, methods, and observational data sources
- Experience working with large public and private real-world data sources
- Demonstrated experience conducting structured literature reviews using scientific databases
- Proficiency in generating and validating tables, listings, and graphical outputs
- Experience using statistical or analytical tools such as SAS, R, or similar platforms
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Ability to manage multiple studies or projects independently while meeting timelines
- Industry experience within pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, or healthcare research
- Experience supporting safety evaluations, signal detection, and benefit-risk assessments
- Familiarity with regulatory safety requirements and submission support
- Experience in neuroscience or related therapeutic areas
