** The Opportunity*
* This position works out of our Abbott Park, IL location within the GES Global Engineering Services Division.

As the  
** Senior Principal Construction Engineer,
** you will lead large-scale facility expansion projects in a highly regulated environment. This role encompasses strategic planning, execution, and delivery of GMP-compliant capital projects including new builds, retrofits, and utility installations. The Project Manager will ensure alignment with regulatory standards, safety protocols, and business objectives while managing cross-functional teams and external contractors.

** What You'll Work On*
* + Lead planning and execution of complex facility expansion projects.

+ Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.

+ Manage internal engineering teams and external service providers (design firms, contractors, suppliers).

+ Oversee project budgets, schedules, and documentation to ensure timely and compliant delivery.

+ Conduct constructability reviews, risk assessments, and value engineering.

+ Ensure adherence to GMP, safety, and quality standards throughout project lifecycle.

+ Support commissioning, qualification, and turnover of facilities.

+ Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

+ Drive continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives.

+ Utilize tools such as MS Project, AutoCAD, SAP for project tracking and reporting.

** Required Qualifications*
* + Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field;
Master's degree preferred.

+ PMP Certification is a plus.

+ 10+ years of experience managing capital projects in regulated industries (medical device, nutrition, pharmaceutical).

+ Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects (> $2.5MM).

+ Strong understanding of GMP regulations, construction codes, and validation processes.

+ Experience in contractor selection, procurement, and performance management.

+ Willingness to travel 50-75% within the United States.

+ Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skill

** Preferred Qualifications*
* + Proficiency in MS Project, AutoCAD, SAP, Excel, and PowerPoint.

+ Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

+ Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced environments.
