** Aircraft Assembly Mechanics (Level B or
C)
** to support the 787-production system as an
** electrical, system, or seal/wing mechanic
** in
** North Charleston, South Carolina
** on a
** variable shift**.

* Quality:
Maintaining rigorous quality standards in all deliverables, ensuring that our work meets or exceeds expectations and complies with all regulatory and company requirements.
* Must successfully complete the new hire foundational training to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
* Proficient use of a computer in a dynamic production environment.
* Look up/read/comprehend electronic technical work instructions, drawings and/or specifications.
* Wear appropriate protective clothing/equipment determined by the task performed.
* Operate various mechanical lifts (e.g. ladders, tiger and snorkel lifts).
* Use various hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as screwdrivers, ratchets, power screwdriver multi meters, continuity testers.
* Apply chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints and special finishes.
* Inspect your work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris.
* Work around energized sources (electrical equipment and hazards/shock, e.g. circuit breakers and wiring) and exposure to constant noise.
* Finger manipulation (keyboarding, other).
* Lifting and carrying up to 10-35 pounds.
* Climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
* Flexion/Extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching (overhead), rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking.
* Install various aircraft system components and wiring such as: tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, ducts, and interior components.
* Route wire harnesses to supports, install connectors to receptacles and electronic components.
* Fiber optic clean and inspection, light loss testing, routing and installation.
* Work in confined space and respirator usage.
* Ability to work a variable shift as noted further below.
* Ability to meet physical demands of the role such as flexion and extension (head bent down, head bent back), handling, kneeling, bending at the waist, reaching overhead, rotation of head/neck, standing, twisting at the waist and walking, climbing/balancing (stairs, ladders, poles, scaffolding, inclined surfaces), crawling, crouching (squatting).
* Ability to lift/carry up to 10-35 pounds.
* Ability to work with high-hazard chemicals.
* Ability to complete and maintain Confined Space and Fall Protection certifications, as required.
* 1+ years of experience using software applications such as internet navigation, email, Microsoft Office Suite, and/or other specialized computer applications.
* 1+ years of experience following detailed work instructions, reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, or specifications, in English.
* 1+ years of experience applying mathematical calculations.
* 1+ years of experience in a technical, or mechanical field performing work with basic hand, power, and/or pneumatic (air) tools.
* 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* 3+ years of experience installing various aircraft system components such as tubing, valves, regulators, actuators, compressors, ducts, and interior components.
* 3+ years of experience in Automotive/Diesel/Heavy equipment mechanical experience.
* 3+ years of experience wire routing, dressing, hook-up/mating connections.
* 3+ years of experience applying sealant to required surfaces per specifications.
