- Level I – Must be able to achieve many objectives of this position. Requires some supervision to ensure tasks are accomplished and communication is adequate (verbal, written, email, etc.).
- Level II – Consistently achieves all objectives of this position; provides mentoring and direct day-to-day supervision to Level I positions.
- Senior – Highly experienced; can lay out and manage others and understands mechanical and electrical systems, low‑voltage security, and integration with building systems. Able to assist in troubleshooting installation and operation.
- Install 3/4 EMT conduit, cabling, and low‑voltage security devices.
- Work closely with Lead Installers to ensure safety standards and client specifications are met.
- Pay attention to detail and adhere to timelines; deliver high‑quality construction services that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Understand construction practices and follow safety protocols diligently.
- Use tools effectively with a commitment to safety; ensure materials are installed correctly and meet quality standards.
- Interpret Climatec’s and others’ drawings to install low‑voltage security systems.
- Support installation personnel on project sites.
- Assist in troubleshooting during static or dynamic start-up or commissioning of low‑voltage security and special systems.
- Assist in preparing As‑built drawings and Operation & Maintenance Manuals; provide up‑to‑date As‑built information including sensor and panel locations, databases, codes, etc.
- Demonstrate basic computer operation and communicate effectively with customers and teammates to achieve successful outcomes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 0–1+ years’ experience with low‑voltage security systems or related installations.
- 0–1+ years’ experience as an electrician or electrician’s helper.
- 0–1+ years’ experience on construction sites or in high mechanical environments; ability to build or install equipment manually or electronically.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of computer operation.
- Understanding of the construction industry, safety practices, electrical codes, and blueprints.
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
- Valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years’ experience with low‑voltage security systems, CCTV, or access control.
- 1+ year of experience in building automation systems or security and life safety as an installer.
- Knowledge of Bluebeam or Plan Grid for viewing and redlining digital blueprints on a tablet.
- Current Arial Lift or other manufacturer certifications.
- Ability to work with electrical equipment (volt meters, amp meters, etc.) and troubleshoot basic circuitry; understanding of low‑voltage DC circuitry (transformers, fuses, breakers).

- Be able to lift and carry ladders, drawings, personal computers, materials, etc.; up to 50 lbs+.
- Spend significant time standing and walking on construction sites; climb stairs or ladders as needed.
- Maintain a satisfactory driving record to drive a company vehicle.
- Be physically able to kneel, stoop, and crawl; work in outdoor settings and potentially extreme weather conditions.
- Work around live voltage, moving machinery, heavy equipment, and humid environments; exposure to various hazards and chemicals as applicable.
- Maintain clear color vision and visual acuity to perform job responsibilities.
